Privacy notice
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and tracks nobody. What follows is the detail behind that sentence.
The short version
This website sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics, and loads no advertising or tracking scripts. Nothing you do while reading these pages is recorded by us.
If you send us an enquiry, we use what you send to answer it. If you book a walk, the booking is processed by our booking provider under its own terms. That is the whole of it.
Who is responsible
The data controller for this website is the business identified in the footer of every page. Contact details are on our contact page.
Cookies and analytics
We set no cookies. There is no consent banner on this site because there is nothing to consent to.
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta pixels, advertising retargeting or any similar technology. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs for security and abuse prevention, which include IP addresses, and those are handled under the provider's own retention policy.
If we add analytics in future we will use a cookieless, non-tracking product and this notice will be updated before it goes live.
The enquiry form
If you use the enquiry form, you choose what to send us: at minimum a name and an email address, and optionally your travel dates, group size and anything you want us to know.
We use it to answer your enquiry and to arrange a walk if you book one. We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not sell or share it, and we do not use it for advertising. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to someone who has contacted us, and, once you book, the performance of a contract with you.
The form is delivered by a third-party form provider, which processes the message on our behalf under a data-processing agreement. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within twelve months.
Bookings
Bookings are taken through a third-party reservation platform. When you book, you provide your details to that platform directly, and it acts as a data controller in its own right for the payment and reservation data it holds. We receive the information we need to run the walk: your name, the number of people, contact details and anything you have told us about access requirements.
We keep booking records for as long as we are required to for accounting and tax purposes under French law.
Family-grave enquiries
If you ask us to help locate a relative's grave, you may send us the name and dates of a deceased person. We use that solely to make an enquiry to the cemetery's conservation office on your behalf, and we delete it once your visit has taken place or you tell us you no longer need it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of anything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to our processing it, or ask for it in a portable format. Write to us and we will act within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you can complain to the CNIL, the French data-protection authority, at cnil.fr.

This site links to paris.fr and to other external sources so that you can check our facts against them. We are not responsible for what those sites do with your data once you follow a link.
